Your Spoken Horoscope - My Name Is Joseph

For An Hour, Take It Easy Walter).

While listening to Your Spoken Horoscope's music, one is invited to go back to necessary, comfortable and dark moments in life; more than reassuring, it invites the listener to dark and unexplored places, but makes him/her feel good, and sometimes, too good... Sounding straight and sometimes slowly violent, simple and coldly overdrived, music here is icy and rough, thanks to a typical sound and strange musical tunes. One can't but think of moments of loneliness, despaired Idaho or Low's songs, sober and inner rhythms. Guitars sound dirty, wild, dusty, slow, captivating and rough. They penetrate the listener like an aching in the throat, and taste bitter and acre. Everything sounds hopeless here, while a cold sweat runs through one's spine; but even if it is so, no one ever feels uncomfortable while listening to this music. The artist succeeds in an amazing and real tour-de-force: he is able to create a kind of, well, comfortably unsane tune. There is no musical structure, as songs change abruptely in its middle part (My Name Is Joseph). This music is single and obsessive, disillusioned and hopeful; but this is music, above all. Sometimes, each listenet feels tired and fed up with life, and brought back to a useless, painful and rude life. And all this appears thanks to neutral but flowing vocals; sometimes weak and far away (Draw), they then find their own language and lead us through this hypnotizing journey, then are a red thread which has to be followed not to fall (For An Hour, Take It Easy Walter). Sometimes overdrived, sometimes low or highly impressive and sublime (Take It Easy Walter), they become the song's main essence and meaning, and the basis of this amazing musical exhibition... They sometimes make the listener think of Minus Clay, despaired Joy Division singer Ian Curtis (even if they sound more in tune and pure), or Idaho's Jeff martin. After listening to these particular songs, one feels tired and down, but needs to hear them again and again. Satisfaction is complete, thanks to these slow and folk, ethereal and heavy moments. Your Spoken Horoscope is definately a beautiful and moving artist, and allows us to be introduced to pain, in order to find purity away from despair and melancholy... Of course, few listeners won't agree with this, I'm sure; but listening to these magnificent, painful, and most of all, human songs is necessary, so, don't miss this opportunity...
